On Saturday opening day of duck shooting a 21 year old was killed while duck shooting with 2 others near Ohakune.
The police found out at 4:30 that day a man was crossing a fence but other people did not know and a firearm was shot, the man was shot in the chest died at the scene.
The indecent happened at 4:00pm that afternoon the rescue chopper was called to the accedent immediately but there was no way they could have saved the man.
